UMS English Education Program Partners with Muhammadiyah Association of Thailand for International Internship

Muhammadiyah has expanded its influence to several countries outside Indonesia, including Thailand. The Muhammadiyah Association of Thailand (MAT) is a missionary organization based on Muhammadiyah values, with a focus on education in Thailand.

In its mission to enhance education, particularly in Southern Thailand where the majority of the population is Muslim, MAT collaborates with both government and private schools, as well as the Institute of Vocational Education: Southern Thailand Region 3, which oversees nine vocational schools in the region.

In 2024, the English Education Program (PBI) FKIP UMS, through the Bureau of Cooperation and International Affairs (BKUI) UMS, will collaborate with MAT and the Institute of Vocational Education: Southern Thailand Region 3 to provide English language instruction in Yala. This initiative marks the beginning of a partnership between UMS-MAT and UMS-Institute of Vocational Education: Southern Thailand Region 3, which will continue with community service activities focused on English language education.

The UMS team participating in this program includes:
● Nisrina Salma Putri
● Keneswangi Jofita
● Sabrina Decriz Elvandhita
● Tadzlila Hudna

These students will contribute to the advancement of English education in Southern
Thailand, strengthening the ties between UMS and international educational institutions.
