National Teachers’ Day, which is celebrated every 25 November 2024, is a moment to appreciate the services of teachers in educating the nation. Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Nadiem Anwar Makarim, in his speech at the National Teachers’ Day ceremony at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Jakarta, emphasised the importance of the role of teachers in transforming Indonesian education. Nadiem said that teachers are agents of change who are able to create innovative and fun learning for students. The Ministry continues to encourage the development of teacher competence through various training and mentoring programmes. Nadiem also invited all elements of society to strengthen the synergy between teachers, students, parents and society in realising quality Indonesian education.
