Another proud achievement was obtained by DEE students.
Two excellent 7th semester students, Annisa Larasati and Triana Kurnia Putri, scored prestigious achievements. Both of them won the English Olympiad for university students at the national level.
The Olympics were held by an institution called Insight. Insight holds various kinds of olympiads ranging from middle school, high school, to university students. For middle and high school levels there are various choices of subjects, while for students there are only English Olympiads.
The questions in this national English Olympiad are a combination of general English and TOEFL.
Annisa said that this Olympics is very challenging since there are several tricky and kind of high order thinking questions that have never been taught during colleges. However, they both succeeded to get silver medals. Annisa Larasati was ranked 18th and Triana Kurnia Putri was ranked 22nd out of 200 participants.
