The National Business Meeting for ALPTK PTM (Asosiasi Lembaga Pendidikan Tenaga Kependidikan Perguruan Tinggi Muhammadiyah) of the Association of Education and Educational Personnel Institutions of Muhammadiyah Higher Education and the 4th Progressive and Fun Education International Conference (4th ProfunEdu International Conference) are two embedded events annually arranged by the association board attended by institutions of tertiary level under Muhammadiyah foundation in all over Indonesia. This year, these events are conducted on 6-8 August 2019 at Aryaduta Hotel Makassar hosted by Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar.
The national meeting invited the Minister of Education and Culture of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Muhadjir Effendy, M.Ap. as the main speaker highlighting educational issues especially the challenges faced by Muhammadiyah educational institutions in Indonesia. Whereas, the keynote speakers for the conference are from several educational institutions of three different countries: Prof. Mohd Hairy Ibrahim (Universiti Sultan Idris, Malaysia), Prof. Muhamatsakree Manyunu (Fatoni University, Thailand), Prof. John G. Trent (the Education University of Hong Kong), Prof. Dr. Jasruddin, M.Si. (Head of LLDIKTI IX, Sulawesi) and Dr. Fauziah Abdul Rahim (Universiti Utara Malaysia).
The Head, Mauly Halwat Hikmat, Ph.D and the Secretaries, Aryati Prasetyarini, M.Pd. and Susiati, M.Ed, of the Department of English Education (DEE) attended the meeting and are presenting their papers on educational issues at the conference on 7 August 2019.
