SEGA (Saturday English Gathering) has become one of the excellent program from DEE UMS to facilitate the students to express their English ability outside the classroom. This January, SEGA continued the activity by conducting English discussion and tutoring activity among the students. The focus of this activity was to give the opportunity for the students, especially for the new students of SEGA to perform their English-speaking ability. The topic of the discussion and tutoring varies in every meeting conducted, such as advertising, news anchor, public speaking, and academic speech.
The tutoring activity in SEGA was conducted in 90 minutes each. The discussion was handled by SEGA tutor who is responsible for delivering the materials and explain the content clearly to the members. All the members must perform their speaking ability during the discussion and the mentor checked each student’s performance. At the end of the discussion, the feedback will be given to each member of the group discussion.
