DEE Students Goes to KKN Education Program (KKN Dik)

A total of 1,519 FKIP UMS students including DEE students, will start to implement KKN Education program (KKN Dik) from January 20,2020 up to March 3, 2020. The KKNDik students are divided into 2 programs, regular and thesis integrated program. The regular program was attended by 1,502 students, while thesis integrated program was attended by 17 students. These programs will be implemented for three months. Prior to implementation, students are required to make observations and situation analysis of the area they will occupy during this program.

In its implementation, the KKNDik regular program is deployed to 171 schools in Solo raya covering various districts, such as Klaten, Boyolali, Karanganyar, Sragen, Sukoharjo, and Wonogiri. Meanwhile, the thesis integrated program is deployed to 7 schools in Sukamara district, Central Kalimantan.

The ceremony of students deployment was held on Monday, January 20, 2020 attended by Prof. Chairil Anwar (PP Muhammadiyah Diktilitbang Council), Darno, M.Pd. (Head of Disdikbud Sukoharjo District), Prof. Sofyan Anif (Rector of UMS) and his staffs, and heads of units in the UMS, DPL, as well as the heads of study programs in UMS FKIP.

In this occasion, Prof. Dr. Harun Joko Prayitno, M.Hum, as the dean of FKIP, in his remarks, emphasized the big theme in KKNDik which are teacher’s roles in advancing education, enlightening teaching and learning, as well as being humble in society. It is hoped that after the program, students will get an overview of the portrait of education, and they can bring contribution in the community.
