In commemoration of the 66th anniversary of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), the Department of English Education (DEE) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) held a Stadium General with the theme “Carpe Diem: Accelerating Potential, Bringing the Future Closer.” The event was held on Thursday, 24 October, at the Moh. Djazman Auditorium, starting at 08.00 until completion.
The 2 inspiring speakers presented in this event were Sri Ratna Widyastuti, S.E., owner of Global Transport, and Arif Sholihin, Director of PT Ar-Rasyid Tour and Travel Organiser who is also a DEE alumni. The event was hosted by moderator Siti Alda Ibrahim, DEE student class of 2021.
Through this theme, the Stadium General aims to encourage students to explore their potential and take proactive steps towards the future. The presence of speakers who are experienced in the business world is expected to provide new insights and inspiration for students in designing a better future.
