The 2nd International Cenference on Child-Friendly Education

Lund University of Sweden and FKIP Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS) have established institutional cooperation and academic development cooperation since 2011. Particularly work in education development in children rights and child friendly education. In the year 2011 in rotation FKIP UMS has sent 16 people to Lund University Sweden, both from lecturers FKIP UMS as well as from teachers of FKIP UMS partner schools. Lecturers as mentors and teachers as teachers of the school are subject to the education of children-friendly schools. The thought is in line with the vision of FKIP UMS as one of the PTM who is always wise for people, activities to enlighten the nation, and performs to produce professional teachers who have an Islamic personality based on progressive and exciting education.

The implementation of child-friendly schools in Muhammadiyah is well developed in addition to FKIP UMS is also in the field of government policy. Portrait of its implementation and development over the past two years, The 2nd ICCE 1018 which simultaneously launches with the Global CRC (Right of Children Convention) Online Network Platform.

The event was attended by more than 340 participants, both from abroad and in the country. Also present at the event were Johan Hultquist from Deputy Chief of Political and Human Rights Issues from the Swedish Embassy. Another keynote speaker was Bodil Rasmusson from senior Lund University lecturer in Sweden as well as mentor of this activity, prof. Michael Thomson from Leeds University,  Prof. Endang Fauziati from DEE FKIP UMS, and Ari Yeppy Kusumawati from Bappeda of Surakarta City Government.

 

The event which lasted for 2 days, Saturday 21 April 2018 s.d Sunday, April 22, 2018 was held at Auditorium Djazman Al Kindi Campus 1 UMS. Also present and contribute to the contents of the Assembly Dikti R & D PP Muhammadiyah Prof. Bambang Setiadji and Muhammaad Dai documents Rector UMS and Prof. Harun Joko Prayitno as Dean of FKIP UMS. All three underline that “Education is the right of every child of the nation” by Indonesia, to Indonesia who has the character of Indonesian-ness “.
