Based on the Circular of the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership No. 1/MLM/I.0/E/2024 regarding the Determination of the Results of Hisab for Ramadan, Shawwal, and Dhul-Hijjah
1445 Hijri, Arafah Day (9th of Dhul-Hijjah 1445 H) falls on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
Arafah fasting is a highly recommended Sunnah fast, especially for those who are not performing the Hajj pilgrimage. This fast holds numerous virtues, as mentioned in the hadith
of the Prophet Muhammad SAW:
“Fasting on Arafah day expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year.” (HR. Muslim)
Let us intend to observe the Arafah fast purely for the sake of Allah SWT, as an act of devotion and worship. May our fasting be accepted and serve as a beneficial part of our good deeds.
