Internal audit is one of the requirements that must be met by higher education in ensuring the implementation of a sustainable quality assurance process. This activity is intended to review the level of suitability and effectiveness of the implementation of the quality management system that has been determined and becomes the basis for the strategic direction and quality objectives of higher education. In addition, internal quality audits can also be used as a means of evaluating the implementation of activities that have been proposed by faculties, study programs, and units. Therefore, it is important that the Internal Quality Audit (AMI) in UMS must be carried out periodically.
In the current conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic, of course AMI activities still need to be carried out. This aims to ensure that the system to run well and sustainable. However, some adjustments need to be made in its implementation, especially those related to health protocols. Based on various considerations, the Quality Assurance Agency (LJM) of the Muhammadiyah University of Surakata (UMS) decided to hold an Internal Quality Audit (AMI) for 2019-2020 via online.
For DEE, the audit process was conducted on 23 October, 2020 covering two indicators: 1) Audit Activities of RPU / RPUPPS / RPPS; and 2) Audit Key Performance Indicator (KPI). There are two auditors from LJM involved in this process, those are Dr. Umi Budi Rahayu, S.Fis.,Ftr.,M.Kes, and Dr. Eko Supriyanto.
The result of this audit for DEE was very satisfying. Most of the indicators showed the good score and it is because of the hard works of all the lecturers in this department. The result also showed that DEE always do the best for maintaining the service quality of this department.
