The Department of English Education (DEE) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) plays an active role through three students who have successfully passed the SEA Teacher 2024 programme in the Philippines. The three students are Komaruddin Yahya, Rahma Luthfiani, and Annisa Eka Meilani, all of whom are 2022 students.
All three will participate in a teaching exchange programme aimed at broadening their horizons and pedagogical skills in an international environment. Together with five other students from FKIP UMS, they will be placed in various universities in the Philippines, namely Mariano Marcos State University, Cavite State University, University of Northern Philippines, and Aklan State University.
The SEA Teacher programme is expected to provide valuable experience for students in cross-cultural teaching practices and strengthen collaboration between countries in the field of education
